or rather, lines near the end. "Reader, I married him" being the perfect example.

I'm not so picky, so long as they're good lines. ;) The Letter from Persuasion is neither, and that pretty much does it for me any ol' day, LOL!

"Reader I married him" is an epic line IMO, LOL! I always loved the line about Jane being small, plain and little. :D
